Finding a bold-looking small crossover is easy when you set your sights on the 2021 Toyota CH-R. Small crossovers aren’t typically stand out vehicles. They tend to stick in the background, focusing mostly on function and fuel economy.

The good news with the 2021 Toyota CH-R is that it’s both bold and practical, something that doesn’t come easy to a lot of vehicles in the segment. Before we get into everything you need to know about this Toyota crossover, let’s cover what’s new.

New for the 2021 model year, the Toyota CH-R gets a new Nightshade Edition, and the Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 suite of safety features is now standard across the board.

2021 Toyota CH-R Features and Trims

For 2021, the Toyota CH-R comes in four trim levels: LE, XLE, Nightshade, and Limited. Each trim runs on a four-cylinder engine that makes 144 horsepower mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission with front-wheel drive.

Starting off with the base model, you get a list of common and standard features ranging from LED headlights to keyless entry to an 8-inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. While the LE isn’t abundant with extra features, it still comes with a full display of standard safety features. Included are forward collision mitigation, lane-keeping assist, automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control, and road sign recognition.

Moving up to the XLE, you get larger 18-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry on all doors with push-button start, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert.

If you opt for the Nightshade option, you get black accents and badges and black interior trim. Finally, the top-tier Limited trim expands on what’s in the XLE with adaptive LED headlights, available two-tone paint, leather upholstery, power-adjustable, heated front seats, and more.

With its bold looks, good fuel economy, and smart safety features, the Toyota CH-R isn’t the biggest vehicle, but it’s a very well-rounded one. Visit us today at Centennial Toyota for a test drive.
