Toyota cars are some of the most reliable vehicles available. But, in order to be dependable, they need regular service, and this includes getting replacement parts when necessary.

These are the Toyota parts that will have to be replaced sooner rather than later.

Oil Filter

Your oil filter is instrumental in keeping your engine clean, as it prevents dirt and harmful particles from getting in. While it can be cleaned, eventually it gets so dirty that you will have to get a new one. This is generally every other time you get an oil change.

Battery

Your battery may not last as long as you realize. At most, a battery’s lifespan is typically about six years, and it may only last half that amount of time. This is why it’s worth getting it tested at least every year.

Tires

When you have new tires put on your car, you can expect them to last a while. If you take care of them – and this needs to include regular rotations – they should be fine for about 50,000 miles. If you neglect their maintenance, they may wear out closer to 20,000 miles.

Brake Parts

The more you drive, the more strain is put on your brakes, especially if you do a lot of stop-and-go driving. Over time, shoes and pads wear out, and they are generally good for about 20,000 miles. Your rotors may need to be replaced every 50,000 miles or so.

Windshield Wipers

Wipers are pretty fragile, so it doesn’t take much for the plastic and rubber to wear out. Depending on how much you use them – and how much direct contact they get from the sun – you may need a new set every year or so.
